The focus of this one-day workshop is all about dramatic light and colour. We won't be shy with our paints...rich fruit and deep backgrounds will help make our subjects sparkle. You'll discover some of the keys to painting the illusion of transparent glass...what is and isn't there...and most important - those soft and hard edges. Add a few textures of wood and lace, techniques for shadows and reflections, and you are sure to come away with new things to try and apply to your own paintings. I will demonstrate step by step and provide guidance material...it will be a fair challenge, but not as hard as you may think (it's always easier when you learn how!) Come enjoy a winter day of painting and fun!
Our location is new...we'll enjoy comfort and space in my husband's new Karate Academy...but we'll temporarily change it into an art studio! We have large tables, chairs, good lighting and plenty of parking for all.
